Typical post-warranty repair patterns on an Accord
I'm looking at getting into a lease program on a factory-direct '04 Accord. I would need a robust mileage allowance (54,000 miles), but I am deeply concerned about putting miles on the car above and beyond the 36,000 mile factory warranty. Anyone care to share their experiences with me? How likely is a well-maintained and gingerly-handled Accord to develop major problems in the 36,000-54,000 mile range?
I have thoroughly analyzed buying vs leasing, and even with me needing a beefy mileage allowance, it still makes sense PROVIDED I feel reasonably assured that the car won't start rapidly unraveling after 36K on the odometer.

If you take care of it, it will take care of you. I seriously doubt you will have any major problems with the car. Aside from routine maintence you should be good to go. I've driven my accord all over the country and it's got almost 140K on it. Been trouble free too.

Yes my 99 accord is flawless it does everything I need and it does it well I have 83,000 miles the only problem I have had was the alternator. I take real good care of it because I've owned cars that always breakdown.
I bought a 94 accord about 2 years ago, 160k kilometers on it.. did 60k more, only had to change wheel bearings.. (3 out of 4 , and not at the same time) i never had trouble with it, the only reason why i got a new one is the rust.. Now i have a 01 coupe EX and im taking so much care of it, ill take it to 300k kilometers for sure
