Default Installing This fuel filter

Alright i just spent like 3 hours trying to get this f'n thing in. I was able to get the top nut off with a ratchet, but the bottom one i can't use a ratchet on, and no matter how hard i turn with a wrench, the **** will not loosen.

Can't really get the best angle on it either, since im going thru the top. I also tried taking the wheel off to reach it, but it doesn't seem like that would work.

Now lets say i was going thru the top to loosen the bottom one, i would be pulling the wrench up to loosen it right?

Thanks for any help, this is just really aggrivating.
