WHAT?! Please dont tell me you have VTEC engaged from idle to redline.... That is just sofa-king we-tod-did. Honda made it so that VTEC would engage at a certain point to take full advantage of it. Messing with it will screw up your engine. Put it back to stock unless you have MAJOR modifications done to your engine.

wow, all i have to say is, you my friend, are a loser. What makes you think having VTEC engage at such LOW rpms is going to do something for you? there is the "i have a body kit" rice, and then there's a new one that just came out-- "my VTEC hits at 800 RPM!"

This has got to be a joke. how the hell are you going to be able to get vtec to engage at idel YOURSELF....and not even know what it would do to your motor.

yeh but even with a vafc I think that you can only lower when it kicks in by a couple of 100 rpms not that much. What the hell did you do to it?? tell us we want to know what not to do

Thats why ur suppose to research, read, and learn before u spend money.... We all made our mistakes before, but damn... Im sure he was thinking "If I can make my shyt start in VTEC I'd be really fast!!!" Sadly you dont even feel VTEC on a stock D16Z6, you can hear it, but you sure as hell dont feel it....

Indeed. I can sorta "feel" VTEC engage with my D16Y8, half throttle the car starts to accelerate quicker and the RPMs move a LITTLE faster. eh, could be my imagination though.

I had a z6 and I could definatly feel when vtec kicked-in. granted it wasnt as great as on a DOHC, but it was there.
