I've searched and searched for hours without finding a definite answer. Will somebody please set the record straight for me? I'm trying to figure out if I ordered the wrong header. I have read on here many times that you need to use an LS header and cat on any B-series swap in EG hatches. This supposedly is the only way to get everything to fit perfectly without having to go to the muffler shop. I have also read that you can use a Del Sol VTEC/99 Civic Si header and cat to get the same result. I need to know for sure because I ordered the Del Sol header already, but no cat.

So which is it: LS header and cat or Del Sol VTEC header and 92-95 Civic cat?

to me it would make sense to use a del sol b16 header with a civic cat.

 

i use the dynamic autosports jdm header with jdm ITR cat...
works good for me

 

actually if you use the del sol or the jdm eg b16a manifold it will bolt up to your stock catalytic converter. using the factory spring bolts...Now froma performance stand point ...Jdm or dc jdm header will require you to install a after-market cat. or if you car is planning only to be used off road , a straight pipe. but that would require you to go to the muffler shop.

 

Okay, I see. So the DC 4-1 stainless I ordered for a Del Sol VTEC will bolt up to the Civic catalytic converter? Thanks for the replies.
