Default Crx Exhaust Routing

I have seen EDs with an exhaust that hangs really low and I wondered which systems use that method of routing and which ones offer up more ground clearance.

If you've seen an exhaust that low it was probably custom and done poorly. The height of the exhaust (for properly fabricated aftermarket) has solely to do with the rubber hangers. There's more than enough clearence in the body for the piping. If you get a larger, heavier aftermarket exhaust replace the rubber hangers because they'll stretch and break, causing the low hang.

If you have a shop fabricate piping for you make sure they don't weld the hangers on strangely. My friend had a 97 DX with a badly made exhaust. How bad you ask? ...it scraped on speed bumps.
