Default +20hp chip?

I have a 1992 Accord ex. ITs stock except for a cat-back exhaust. I was looking on ebay just a minute ago and I saw a chip that promised 15-20 hp. It plugged in to the intake temerature sensor and I'm guessing tricked the ECU as to the temp of the air. It said that it would in no way harm your car, but I figured I would ask you guys since I still don't know a whole lot about cars. Thank you for any help.

A chip that promises an increase in 15-20hp is the equivalent of a pill that promises you to lose 15-20lbs in two weeks.

Before I started my turbo kit, I bought those for $7, and the ebay seller's image dipicted a small black box you connect to the sensors. What I got was 2 resistors. Needless to say, I didn't even bother putting them in. I just left the seller a positive feedback for fast shipping and kicked my own ***.

I think I still got those resistors somewhere. If you pay for shipping, I'll mail them to you for free. You'll just ruin the sensor readings and then the engine. If you really want high HP at super low cost, you'll have to.... er... yeah... no such thing.

(of course, the chip won't harm your car. It hurts your engine)

The chips don't do a damn thing. If you want to give money away then just send it to me.

fast and cheap = unreliable

cheap and reliable = not fast

fast and reliable = expensive.

End of debate.
