So I installed the 90-91 hatchback front bumper on my car. The installation went... "swimmingly" and there were no snags. It was a recreation (not stock). I also now have 90-91 bumper lenses in there also so it doesn't look so odd with the too small lenses. I only had it like that temp. so I could drive around.

Now the question I have is you can see the "moldings" on the bumpers are different. 90-91 was the thin rounded molding while the 88 has the wide with a dent in it. The rest of the 88 (obviously) follows the "wide-molding" style of the 88. So questions are:

1. Can I Get 90-91 Molding Used Easily? (or does removal destroy it)
2. If I can get it, do the holes line up with the 88 body?
3. Not only the holes, but cut-out in the doors?

If anyone has tried this or seen this done, help if you can!

 

looks good man, i myself prefer the 90-91 bumpers over the 88-89 ones, same with the mouldings.

 

I havent changed mouldings from year to year but I have seen it done.
You can remove them without ruining them but do it vary carefully and slowley.

 

What did you pay for that bumper? Looks good! Nice job.
