ok im puttin a sir2 b16 in my 91 si , type r intake mani, obd 1 dizzy, gsr cams , header full exhaust, and some other random bullshit onm it.. but i was wondering if that zdyne chipped pm6 ecu is a good ecu to put in it bc i can get one dirt cheap and if will be sufficient for what im doin to my beater...
that ecu will work fine with what you have. you can use some cam gears with it also and make decent power. my old setup was like yours. I had jdm xsi motor with gears and ITR intake man and bored tbody with homemade 3" intake and K+n with 2.25 " exhaust with super turbo and punched out cat and was using the stock B16a header and made 151whp on a 86 civic si and that is with the zdyne ecu you are talking about.
That Zdyne should treat you well and be able to pack a punch with you throwing future mods into it. I have countless modifications done to my engine and it works well = D (I have GSR cams and type R intake manifold as well). Never had a problem and has never given me any codes. There are other ECUs which are better, but are a lot more expensive. Furthermore, I don't think you would be wanting to purchase one of those with the setup you have. I'd definitely score that if you can get it cheap. They're nice little units
