My friend has a b16A1 been in there for about 2 months... recently started running pretty shitty..cuttin on and off when drivien i figured it prolly needed wires an plugs .. it was throwing code 2 ( 2ndary o2 sensor i think) when it started throwing the code we were in the country and the car just shut off at a stop sighn and the ecu light held a constat light on.... ?no blinking no nothing just on. then took it back tyo his house and he thought it may be the distributor got a brand new one i mean new new... pluged it in started runnin like poop. now throwing code 9 ( No. 1 cylinder position ) .... anyoneknow whats going on, Thnx

with a brand new distributor.... im guessing tat cant be the problem.

try checking the signal wire from the ecu to the 8pin distributor connector.
u will need a wiring diagram to diagnose
