Sup all, i got a 5th gen Prelude SH and today on my way to school i looked down and noticed that both my engine malfunction and atts lights were lit. I found it odd that both were lit being that the engine malfunction had to do with emmisions and the atts is itself. My question is does this seem like a sensor error or a real problem, and if so what kind of known problems happen with the atts, are they expensive to fix and is it even worth fixing? any help or info is much appreciated. ThanX

 

Try resetting the ecu then if its still on then check the codes.

 

what codes? i have no interface to check codes from the ecu

if both the check engine light and the ATTS light are on then it is just a check engine light. when you have an atts problem only the ATTS light will be lit.

Ok. please forgive i'm not too educated in cars, i understand that this cel makes the light blink in a sequence that you translate into a code. How do i go about doing this? do i complete the circuit between the 2 prongs with a paper clip or something? And how do i read the code? someone told me when it blinks once really long that indicates 10 and ever blink after that indicates a single digit. Is that correct? thanx for any help
