I need a new(quiet) exhaust system for my 88 HB......I have been looking at the APEXi WS104-KH18 cat back $400, and the Matrix rear section $240. The matrix is cheaper, but has no mid-pipe, so I would need to take it to a muffler shop and spend more $$$ to have the pipe fabricated. If I get the APEXi I can do the whole job at home.(I plan on a header and high-flo cat also). So my question is what's the better deal? and are these fairly quiet systems?

 

Anybody??..........What kind of horsepower gains can I expect replacing the entire exhaust from the header back w/aftermarket system (stock 1.5 w/intake) and will I get better MPG?

 

I'd say go for the APEX I

probbly run about the same in the end but easier to deal with and most shops don't have mandral bends or S/S piping
