Disconnect it. Though I think that's illegal or maybe that's if you tamper with the odometer. Why don't you want it to work?

im hoping its something along the lines of he got a ticket and wants to argue his speedo didnt work properly and see if the judge will drop it upon proof he got it fixed, otherwise...???

i just had that happen to me... the cop didnt give a **** and gave me a ticket the day i bought the car...i hate ****** power trip cops how the **** was i suppose to know the truck in front of me was speeding? ****... i was just following traffic, but hell... guess my car looked a lil too much like a target for cops... i really should get outta hondas

Disconnecting the VSS will make it so your mileage does not record.

It's that little screw on the bottom of your oil pan. Undo that and leave it out, should be good to go.

man, a friend of mine did that with his gen 4, haha, that dude sold the car after 5 years with only like 45000 miles on it knowing that it had over 90000 more miles than reported, i think the only thing is that something on the dash will flash, not sure what it is, but yea, but it is kind of illegal, and slightly dumb...

kinda illegal im pretty sure thats a federal offense but i dont really think it matters unless you sell the car to someone and the i think the transmission has some sort of odometer on it too why would you want to does this anyways

disconnect your VSS. its by where your axles come out on your tranny.

Just a side note... your ABS and SRS systems will not operate if you unplug the VSS since they need a vehicle speed reading to work. So dont plan on having to stop suddenly or have working airbags.
