Y7 Block, A6 Head -> Retain stock Si tranny/axles/mounts?

Default Y7 Block, A6 Head -> Retain stock Si tranny/axles/mounts?

Found a deal on a Y7 block, just wonderring if I swap my A6 head onto this block, I can still use the stock Si axles, tranny and motor mounts...

The tranny bolts right up.
Since you are keeping the tranny then the axles stay the same too.

I know 3 of your mounts will definitely be the same. The only one that "might" need mods is the driver side one. I'm not super sure on this, but the timing belt cover might need to be trimmed and the mount might need to be shaved a little. Very easy mods so don't even think twice on it.

Whats the benifits of the a6 head? Or is it you just want the y7 block and it dosen't come with a head. I want to know cause I have a extra a6 laying around and I have the y7 swapped into my car already

Well my A6 is completely built to the *******, but I priced out a block build and I just couldnt afford it if I wanted to use proper enginemanagement and have money for tuning and a clutch/flywheel combo

Knowbody builds A6's (or atleast is selling one right now), but I found a Y7 block with brand new crank, block posts, crower billet rods and srp 9:1 pistons, all for $700 shipped, I do have to assemble it myself but ****, saves a lot

JG sells them... and has sold tehm for a LONG time.
