Default B18b v.s B18b1

Hey guys, what's up?
Just sittin here at work, and I started wondering about my engine. I have a 91 teg with the B18b, and I understand it puts out 130hp. In 92 introduced the B18b1 engine that outputs 142hp. Well, what exactly is the difference between the two engines? A differance in stroke or emmissions controlls or something? I am going to start my B18b build right after christmas; and I could use that 12 extra horsepower! Any suggestions on good places to start?
Thanks

Unless they changed the LS motor again for 93 (this seems unlikely to me) the 92 had the B18A1 in a manual car. As for where the extra 12hp came from I have no idea.

Actually, all integras except GS-Rs from 90-93 has a b18a engine. If you have a b18b then it must have been swapped out 1 time or another.

in terms of hp...
90-91 = 130 hp
92-93 = 140 hp
94-95 = 142 hp
96-up b18b = 140

I know some of the differences in the 90-91 vs 92-93 are...
-intake manifold
-cams
-exhaust manifold
-other things i don't know about.

The difference between the 94-95 vs 96-up
-94-95 OBDI and 96-upOBDII

If i made a mistake, someone please correct me.

90-93 LS motors are B18a1......94-up are B18b1.....94-95 obd1, 96-up obd2.....the differences in hp and torque come from the head design, not sure the exact differences.

Whoops! my mistake. I was talking about the B18a versus the B18a1.
My question is the same though; So there are differences in the internals between the two engines? Mostly in the head, or
more in the intake/exaust manifolds? What sort of hp could I expect from a B18a (in good running condition) with intake/header/exaust? Any other good power makeing suggestions?
Thanks
