car runs like shit after i put back in the p13 jdm ecu?
ok here how it went i used to have a p28 chipped by hrtunning with type s cams and bolt ons fuel pressure regulator and it ran ok so i dediced it was time to get it tune and the guy said i need a p13 so i went ahead and got a p13 jdm and went to go put in my car and it ran like **** after i put the p13 the car would back fires alot , i lost like all my low end and top end and it threw no code except one time on the freeway but i reset the ecu and since then ther was no problem with the cel but it still ran like **** backfiring and revs reall slow i mean slow and ;mention i have type s cams fuel reg and bolt ons on when it did this with the p13 jdm let me know what could it be ?

It's probably running rich. Did you adjust the fuel pressure after you hooked up the p13? Did you check you fuel pressure gauge? If so what did it say?

Hey Nam... I'm hopefully going to be coming to SD soon if you want to arrange a tuning session for your new setup... If you don't feel like waiting that's fine... Any specific reason why your "tuner" told you to get a P13?
well hey just give me a call on my phone or yeah cal mike and let him know i just recently talk to him thanks for your reply

P13's are not usually as tunable as the P28/30/72 type ecus. There is a lot more tuning support (hondata etc.) for those ecu's, and you can toss the EGR crap. I would stick with the P28 and try some different roms or hondata. If you want the secondary runners to work I can add IAB control to your P28 (you need a P72 ROM for them to work then), or you can get a P72. Your engine setup could be far enough off stock that the P13 can't run it very well. Might check injector sizes too. I think most of the older P13's expect ~340cc injectors, etc. Good luck.
P13's are as tuneable as the other ecu's if you know the ecu inside and out, and write your own programming software.. James (hrtuning) knows that ecu and can make it do whatever he'd like it to do, without relying on someone elses questionable coding..
For the masses though, you are correct, the p28 is simpler to work with, but in its native form, it does not control the IAB circuit, which can be very beneficial to those running the dual runner intake manifold..

It's almost a mortal sin to swap out an HRT-Tuned ECU for something else...I guess you know why. I suggest you stick to James at HRT when it comes to EFI tuning, and ditch that "tuner".
If you're stuck with the P13 have HRT tune it again. It will run as hard if not better than the P28 he also did for you.

He has a reason... The original tune I did for him was for his stock setup with bolt-ons and ran really good... Doesn't run the same with the new cams though... Needs a new tune...
Thanks for the vouches guys...
