As far as the car goes, do whatever you feel like doing. If you can afford it and dont care, pay for it. If its expensive and you file a claim, go ahead. Not sure why you are asking people on the internet what to do with your car's accident.

Take it from somebody who has been through the hassle of fixing a wrecked car. Don't do it. There are so many things that can go wrong with the car that are sometimes overlooked by the body shop. The cars value is droped considerably and you are still paying the same for the car. and on top of that you may still have to pay out of pocket for some of the repairs....take the cash and buy another one. ive had so many problems with my si since the wreck and i even paid about a grand for all the aftermarket parts that i used to replace the stock broken parts. Keeping that car is a great way to get into debt.
