Default Painiting the inside of the headlight


i recently took apart my headlights and got some hid's retrofitted. i was wondering who all had painted the inside of there headlights.

-my car 2000 milano red base with a c/f hood

*what color should i use? black/gunmetal, ect...

*where should i buy it from? hobby lobby?

anyone have any pics or anything of there prelude with painted headlights?

I painted mine with Rust Oleum Satin Black, I dont have any pics right now because my server is down.

how do u open the headlamp with out hurting anything? i had problems clearing out my taillights i didnt even wanna try the headlamps.

I stuck mine into the oven at 350 degress and left them in there for about 5 min. and then pried them apart with a flat head screw driver...Works every time

My left headlight is yellowing on my 5th gen. Does anybody know how to restore it back to OEM look?

if i did black housing on my headlights does it make the hid's not as bright? Also if i take off the inner peice covering the bulb, will it tooo bright?

Yea at some auto parts stores they sell a kit to restore headlights. I think its like 30.00 but it works good we used it on my freinds car and restored them to almost new look.

Jst dont paint the reflector part of the headlight, just paint the part around the "bowl"

Theat piece that covers the bulb is to prevent a single bright meam from being projected at the road(hard to explain) Kinda like a flashlight, a bright area with a lighter halo around the beam.
