gs-r or b16 are the eaist to find b16 is the cheaper of the 2 but an ls motor is easy to find and is realy cheap and makes a good amount of power but just l**** any other b-series an be built on very nicely

I would have to say go and get a d16z6 with the transmission, get a stiffer clutch, then go and get a GReddy turbo kit, a block guard, and a thicker head gasket, tune it and have a great street fighter without the high cost of a b series.
Although if anything if your going turbo, go get an ls that is in good condition and the transmission will work well in a forced induction set up.
All in my opinion of course.......

I would build a d16 and turbo it. My friend has a d16 pushing 285+ hp and his car is extremely quick. I have a jdm gsr swap and it is fun to drive though needs a little more power ~190hp and I will be happy. I am assuming it is around 150-160whp right now (stock exhaust manifold and b16a3 head). I would say a rebuilt bottom end using itr pistons and and a head with a ctr/itr cam would be a very realiable and fun motor. now for all out power I would use the stock d16 build it and turbo it, cheap replacement parts for it.

How can we determine what is best for you, when you don't give us any information about your budget, goals, application, etc.

My recommendation is do your own research and homework and determine what is "best" for you, because in the end only you can determine what is "best" for you.
