You only gave it 17 minutes man, what do you expect? Not many primered cars here because most people including myself think that's ugly, and know that primer by itself will absorb moisture over time and cause corrosion of the body panels underneath.
It's fine if you're just in between like bodywork on one weekend and paint the next weekend (what my friend and I did w/ my car, I rode half primered for that week in between), but riding around primered all the time w/ no intentions of actually painting it is
in my opinion.

not to be a total ******* (which is hard sometimes) but if you painted cars it seems to me that you would want to start a "best paint" thread. not a ugly primer thread. i dont know, if a was an artist i wouldnt ask too see finger paintings

Dont get me wrong, i appreciate a nice flat spray job more than the next guy or painter..but i just wanna see how creative some people get..ive seen primer jobs that were clean as ****, even for spray paint primer can jobs..so starting a "best paint" thread would be kinda not what i wanted to see..plus i wouldnt wanna *** i mean add to the tons of other "best paint" threads all over Honda-Tech.
Oh and i am an artist..ive been into graffiti for about 9 years and have been drawing most of my life..and i like finger painting..

I do automotive body works. When I see a primered car; It's like showing the world how half *** the car is. People have their reasons why they do it. Some think it's "racing style" others do it because they don't like the og color of the car.
Many people just have the wrong idea what primer is for. It's not just to cover up paint to change the color of the car. Wet sanding the og paint and painting over it is fine.
In 1998, an issue of super street had a topic about painting their car primer. It's to show others that your car is a "project car"
I only called it rice, because the majority of "ricers" do it. Like altezza (which I think is jdm
)
My car isn't hot ****. It's actually stock on the outside, mean on the inside.
How come I don't see pictures of your car?
Like the other people said. It's ugly.

doesn't primer also hold water? as in it soaks up water, therefore it isn't good for the metal beneath?</TD></TR></TABLE>
certain primers do that..actually all sandable primers will absorb water..they have primers to just cover things for temporary use so no rust gets formed on the bare metal spots, so no water soaks up in the bondo etc.
