heading up to gingerman tonight...
a friend and i are heading up to gingerman tonight for test & tune, i'm just wondering if any fellow h-t'ers will be up there. if so, we should meet up. i'll be in the dirty black teg with some dark bronze subzeros and an impact crater on the front bumper (from a construction cone).
hopefully i'll see some of you there!

i had a great time. its a very safe course, the only place you can hit something when you go off the track is turn 11, there's a wall blocking off the pit lane. everywhere else is nice and open. there weren't a lot of people up there when i went, which is apparently the usual on the teus/weds/thurs test & tune nights.
your first session you'll have to have an experienced passenger (track rules if you haven't been there before). after that its all you. for the novice group you can only pass in the straightaways between t10-11 and t11-1.
all in all, this track is great for small, light cars. make sure your brakes are in good working order, cuz gingerman is pretty heavy on braking. there are cones marking the target lines; they provide a good basic map to find your own from. of course, having a trailer is nice in case something breaks, but if you're not trying to absolutely squeeze every last drop of performance out of your car, you should be ok.
you guys are gonna have a wicked time, i wish i had the funds to go again.
enjoy!
edit: make sure you have enough gas - i went through a half tank in two fifteen minute sessions, and gas at the track is expensive.
