Default Mods for the interior...

Anyone have any suggestions on what I can do to customize my interior... my mind is drawing a complete blank... I have 98 Accord 4dr. It is Dark Emerald w/ grey cloth interior... I want something with style... but not gawdy. I was thinking like a two tone black and silver interior... I have black housing headlights and tails and chrome door handles, side mouldings and rims...

interior rewrapped is what most basic show cars do... seats can be changed to suit your color, carpets can be dyed or changed, gauges can be changed, paint the vents etc etc,,, go to a import show/parking lot pimping area, youll get a bunch of ideas if thats what youre aiming for.

What he said /\ and... You can get that aluminum or carbon fiber dash kit. I personally dont like it but many people do. It gives that "custom" vibe

I am sorry, but I more of a function over form. Get racing seats, roll bar or cage, gut the interior, get gauges that you need (oil pressure, temp, volt, rpm), racing steering wheel, aluminum floor, etc.

yeah if you did custom leather covers with black and dark grey inserts, that would look pretty good. you would, of course have to change your carpet color. You could do some guages (i wouldnt suggest backlits because those always seem to cause trouble). anything after that is basically turning your car into a rolling entertainment system...which can get uber expensive. just some suggestions. remember: tasteful is the key!

why exactly do you want a "new" intereior?....hell, why not learn to use fiberglass, and mold yourself a whole new interior

some people may like just having metal and now seats/carpet/sound deadening tar.....ok not many, but i love it, so much easier to get sand out after the beach or and not having to worry about mold and **** growing in the carpet cuz all the snow after snowboarding, metal is in for 2005

I am curious as to the style he is going for.

bagged, who's interior is completely built out of sheet metal and fiberglass.

Just do what you want, but dont let something like (they dont make that part) stop you.

I really want to know where they all came from all of a sudden...and why they don't 'get it'.

OT: I saw a dark emerald pearl 4 door 6th gen yesterday w/exhaust, rims, and custom headlights and it made me homesick. I WANT MY CAR!

I forgot to mention, I have already changed all my lights inside to L.E.D. blue, I have white face guages, that are blue when lit... ummm I have guages in a custom instrument cluster bezel, and have 2 more about to go on the a-pillar. I do have a an aluminum dash kit already... nice and thin too, so it's a little cleaner. I'll try and get a pic up here of the thing sometime...

This might be something I would be interested in for my car (a '99 LX sedan 5-speed).

I agree with what some of the other guys said. If you really wanna go for show and have the money to spend custom fiberglass is the only way to go.

I have a gutted interior in my 90 but must say custom fiberglass dashes do look good.

I would go with gutting the interior only two front seats all the necessary gauges i dont think you need a roll cage unless you really got something under the hood and for everyone saying fiberglass you better practice with that **** first nothing looks worse than someone completing making an interior out of it and not doing it right

i did not take off the dash area, i just used alot of painters tape to mask out the window areas before i primed/paint in all it took me about 1/2 a days work t oget the whole inside done. things i did remove were the seats, center console, all panels, 3rd brake light, everything else i masked off with painters tape

Thanks for all the suggestions guys. However, my dreams are all on hold now... I found out this morning, I am going to be a father... I have to start saving money now. I'll still post a pic of what I was able to accomplish until now...
