since they look like this right now




im looking to weld the outer part of the header like so, for reinforcement after I sand the ports down

Most welding shops only charge like 25-30 an hour for simple stuff, and the stuff you need will prolly only take like 5 minutes if that.

depending on the sort of welding he want, ,that might take up to an hour... Tig welding is pretty damn slow you know.

i think for a welder to charge only 25-30 dollars and hour is a little under rated unless he operated out of his home... a professional heliarch "tig" weder will charge a shop rate of 60 to 80 dollars and hour... and most of the time its not just for the welding work but to actually preping the work ... and welding it.. I can honestly say something like this will take about 30-40 mins to do and should cost you around $40-50 dollars..

yep. for a cracked runner i was quoted "probably more than the cost of your header new". then i went to billy bob down the street and iirc it was like 65/hr. probably have better luck with a muffler shop than a fabricator.
