Default Accord CEL light

The Car: 2001 EX

I jumped the #8 & #13 on the diag. port with a paperclip as stated by searching. The CEL give 5 long flashes then repeats.

According to C-Speed:
<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Once you have done this, turn the key to the IGN position and watch your CEL light. It will illuminate in a series of flashes.

You will notice that there will be LONG flashes and SHORT flashes. All of the ECU trouble codes are two-digits. LONG flashes determine the TENS digit by the number of times it flashes, and SHORT flashes determine the ONES digit by the number of times it flashes.</TD></TR></TABLE>

I'm not getting a series of flashes, just a single set of five long flashes. Whats wrong here?

The code repeats itself. If you've never done this on other Hondas, maybe you don't know how long the long flashes are...?

Code 1 would be primary O2 sensor
Code 10 would be intake air temperature sensor.

Maybe go to AutoZone & plug in an OBD-2 reader to eliminate confusion.
O2 sensor would be P0131 (low) or P0132 (high)
IAT sensor would be P0112 (low) or P0113 (high)

I can tell you there are no short flashes, just 5 long flashes, a pause (no light), then repeats. This to me isn't consistant with the information at hand. I may have to go to Autozone if I can't figure this out. Then again, I don't know if those were actually long or short, they appeared to flash the same. So at this point, whos to say. I will look more into it later but thanks for the info.
