Default Forbidden Short Shifter - AWESOME!!!!

I bought a short shifter from Jeremy at Forbidden Motorsports a few weeks ago. I installed it recently and WOW!!! What a difference!!!!! I thought there was basically no "mush" in the shift pattern with my car to begin with (emphasis on "I thought"). I bought if for the shorter throw. After driving with it for a couple of weeks, I've gotta tell you this is a great shifter. Not only shorter throw, but it cleaned up slop I never realized was there in the shift pattern. Installation was VERY easy and took me a little over an hour start to finish and I'm no mechanic. Just wanted to share the good news with everyone here. I talked to Jeremy and he has already said he would discount to anyone who mentions my name from the site when they order. Anyone who wants to change the feel of their driving experience has got to try this shifter.

CUDOS to Jermey!! Great work!! Tell him you heard about it from Kendall and he'll discount the price a little.

I agree that the Forbidden Short Shifter is hands down the best in all the land. Jeremy got mine out to me before anyone else in the country (besides himself and friends in Arizona of course), and I have had the pleasure of hanging out with him on many occasions.

Awesome product, and an overall great guy

I also own a forbidden.. Or so I was told by the guy who sold me my lude.

It rocks.

But when I set it on the tightest setting it does not fit under the plastic housing... Not sure. It is set in the middle.

Trim the plastic from the underside of the center console.

I have a forbidden SS (after selling off my OEM shifter lever...the SS cost me $25. ). I don't know why my shift motion is not smooth. I have it on setting 2. :dunno

It could be tranny related. I will see once I finish my engine swap.

You will have to use the 4th Gen Prelude shiftplate assembly.

You can use the Forbidden Short Shifter in a 5th Gen if you use the 4th Gen baseplate shifter assembly. The Forbidden shifter is MUCH better quality then the LeanRacing SS (which is just a modified stock shifter)

If you are using a stock Prelude 4gen or Accord 4gen/5gen lever right now, yes, it will work.

It has been done, but is not "bolt-in" modification.

The 5th Gen shifter is part of the plastic assembly... therefore you cannot remove it to replace with a new lever. This is why the LeanRacing SS is just a stock lever that has been shortened and had a new cable bracket welded on. If I owned a 5th Gen I would swap in the 4th Gen baseplate assembly and use the currently available Forbidden shifter.

How involved is it to swap a 4gen baseplate into a 5gen?
