1999 Honda Civic EK crank, no start b18b1 & Manual Swap
Hello!
1999 Honda Civic hatchback DX Auto
1995 b18b1 w/ P75 Donor drivetrain has around 140,000 miles* (engine, trans, ecu*
1999 Honda Civic EX auto harness
Ebay jumper for obd2b to obd1
I've recently finished my Honda Civic b series swap, it's a dx auto, I completed the swap, and test drove it a handful of times to iron out kinks, like forgetting to plug some stuff in or make sure lines weren't leaking yada yada.
It ran and drove alright, exhaust wasn't fully hooked up, and still needed to bung in O2 sensor for my header.
First test drive to work went well, no overheating drove good (50mph). After work on the drive home about 10 minutes in when it was full heated up, turned a corner and lost all power in the motor, felt like it was in limp mode 45 mph foot hammered wasn't revving or anything. Managed to pull over and fiddle with the ECU plugs and it fired right back up. I was able to drive home from then.
Unfortunately I got injured at work in March, and over the last 3 ish months, I'd got out and turn it on, and it went from running for a bit, 30-45 seconds, and then it would stall out, and it would decrease running time slowly until it just didn't start anymore. I did the rewire for iacv, and the iat temp connector extension. At the moment, I've done a couple tests.
Getting spark
Fuel pump is priming and injectors are misting, haven't gotten psi yet.
Main relay is functional bench tested and showed continuity.
Timing is good.
All grounds have been scuffed and tightened.
I've tried bump starting but it turned over but didn't run, sounded like it catched for a second, and then immediately died.
It cranks really well, and definitely has enough speed to turn over. Has the normal CEL on for 2 seconds and shuts off when fuel pump primes, but when cranking for about 4 seconds the cel comes on.
I'm really thinking my ECU just went bad on me, any input would be helpful kind of hitting my wits end, my buddy has a spare car that we can test with but that will be in a week or so.
