Hello everyone,

New member, but longtime enthusiast… Just bought a new to me 38-year-old 1988 CRX Si from an old flying buddy of mine who is retiring this year (yes, I’m also an old fart) and thinning the herd in his garage before his move to the middle of nowhere! LoL



that pic is after I got it home and drove it straight into my shop for some maintenance from the 1300 mile drive from his place. Here’s a couple more pics from the trip:





…and no, the MOMO logo isn’t pink, it’s my red shirt reflected in the chrome! LoL



will post in the appropriate forums, but in general the plan for this car is to freshen it up a bit to use as an occasional, but regular, driver … It still has the original motor, and I don’t plan to swap to a DOHC or turbo it…I have a track car, as well as an ‘18 Raptor I’m almost finished rebuilding (91Eunos on most other car forums, and fairly active on some…have this build thread going over on FRF for that Raptor)

Also as you can see in the first pic, I got ‘custom’ classic car plates for it that say “RXC 88” … 1988 CRX Si; I’ve been told CRXs are colloquially known as a ‘Rex’ and mine is an Si model, so “RexSi” is her new name! Yes, I name all my vehicles… LoL

I’m also going through and freshening the suspension, and have a set of old school 15x6.5” Rays CE28N wheels out getting stripped so I can anodize them black. Need 15” wheels for the brake upgrades I’ll be doing later this summer. Here’s a couple pics of those:

At any rate, will post more as I start to find stuff to fix and get them sorted. If anyone has a suggestion for where I can source a new front bumper cover please let me know! This ones been cut up, and I think I’m gonna take it back to stock, maybe a JDM/SiR version if I can find one…even though I’m likely doing a Seibon cf hood and fenders.
