Where has all the carpet gone?!
Is there anyone that still manufactures carpet for the 6th gen, specifically the cargo? The interior carpet I can live with, but the cargo is absolutely trashed, stained beyond saving, tears and holes, and doesn’t hold any shape at all.
For the life of me I can’t find anything for the trunk. I’ll end up running no carpet at all honestly, it’s that bad. Any suggestions would be much much appreciated!

My guess would be that it's because trunk carpet is generally flat and you can use your old ratty carpet as a template to cut a new one out of a few yards of aftermarket carpet. Might be nicer than the original.
Pair it with an upgraded trunk board and you're good to go! I got one from here a few years ago, no regrets: https://www.trunkboard.com/

Maybe this is easier where you are, but in the US all the old carpets look like a whale gave birth on them. It’s tough.
OP, are you looking for the molded side carpets or just the mat? Lloyd and a couple of others make flat mats for the trunk floor.

Looking for the molded carpet. Already made a new trunk board and have an idea for what I’m gonna do to cover that…but the molded bits that conform to the wheel wells and whatnot is what I’m after
Ahh. Yeah unfortunately you're going to have to find used. Trawl the junkyards for a save-able set and clean the crap out of them. Assuming you aren't building a hatchback, any sedan or coupe set should work. Have you tried eBay?

looked around on eBay a little bit but nothing jumped out at me that people don’t want an arm and a leg for. I’m gonna start watching my local pull-a-part
Old cars are fun. I always remember my dad restoring and old 54 Ford F100 in our driveway when I was little and the struggles he had finding things, and then I remember these cars are as old as or older now than that thing was then. It only gets tougher from here.
I follow a person based in California. He always comes across EKs at the junkyard. Its a lot easier there than it is here in Ireland... People sell the typical performance parts and main interior pieces, but never the very niche parts. I had to find a donor car, which was near impossible because when a car does meet its end, it gets broken privately rather than go to a junkyard.
People never take out all the trim, thinking we might need it one day
