Thanks falcon!
thought 1: Super consistent open to the second stint from Fred. Yeow.
Thought 2: They stopped earlier than the other 1-stopping medium runners (HAM, BOT, ERI), but their pace suggests they should’ve stayed on them. Maybe GAS gets by him, but I’m not certain the KMAG and HUL would. Better to have the track position (see: VET)
Thought 3: Gasly had REALLY good pace. Excellent result for him and the team.

agreed and will be interesting to see how STR/HAAS hold up this weekend, and then throw two working red bulls into the deep end and baby you got a stew goin'
i'm really curious to see if merc is playing the long game and saving their engines so that the points come to them at the end of the season when the other teams have to take penalties.
but they might need to pressure ferrari more instead of just letting seb cruise around out front minding his tyres and engine temps

this is daily **** at my work since i advise the Express team, so many people are so cheap with their tires its mind blowing.

Preseason and OZ qualy looked like the HAM show. I'm glad they're making it exciting before they crush our hopes and dreams again.
i wouldn't be surprised if there was some pressure to back off on party modes...ferrari in front is good for business and merc can reap the reliability benefits later in the season
The euro version gives a warning saying they don't ship to US, you can proceed, add stuff to your cart but USA isn't even in the drop down list for available countries. I wonder why this is. I'm going to be in Europe this summer so was thinking about having something shipped to the house we're staying there so I can bring it back with me. I'd offer to bring something back for ya but I'm guessing extra shipping and hassle not worth it compared to just paying whatever the premium is for the ebay sellers?

so that's two wins to VET by way of strategy errors and keeping the engine mode turned down at the wrong times.
if VET was forced to pit then it was a merc 1-2 that was given up. lotta points toto

*Except its not difficult to believe. Instead of watching the race, they (the teams) have their faces inundated with data, which is built on models/probability that are only as good as the algorithm's they are comprised of.
It became pretty obvious Ferrari were toast if they committed to the two stop.
tl;dr: Merc strategy should hire me as a remote employee, from my couch.
not to call your superior intellect into question but even sky was questioning it early.
in australia sky was completely out to lunch as VET went into the lead
cliffs: after 4 WDCs/WCCs man with hand in pocket feels cocky all day
