"My B18C5 EH2 - Updated 8.8.08 Fixed Pics, and New Pics"
Regarding the H22 v. B18 that is seen on this page, I think the B18 is going win almost all the time...but it's because of the availability of parts more than anything else. In engineering theory, the H22 should win, but you just can't get the right parts to develop the motor well.
I have tuned a 11.1 second stock short block H22a, You cant do that with a B. The theory is right.
Bump because this deserves a bump at least once a year.
This was one of the first builds I saw on H-T back when I joined (I was 14 years old). This car is so well executed that it has always had an impact on how I view the EG hatchback in my mind. LOL. It is the 'perfect EG hatchback'
Any updates from the current owner or his friend? Tom, you still out there?

The silver hatch:
Still with current owner in it's ridiculous K-powered form.
The wagon:
I get the wagon back next week from an overall dent/ding removal and overall paint job by a shop that does custom all metal fabricated wide bodies, Porsches, Ferraris, Lamborghinis, etc. Plans are for it to resume my daily driving duties, and I've got a few powertrain upgrades coming for it in the near future. I've had some parts sitting dormant for over five years waiting for the right time to install.

After driving to/from Atlanta, I gotta' say... your traffic is horrendous! Who laid out your highways man? A baby with an Etch-A-Sketch?
It sucks. I've stopped daily driving my current EH3 because my commute is 45 miles each way, and it's just not worth the rock chips and at-risk routes I drive. Bought an NA Miata to split daily duties with my RA3 van.
