buxton says too many mechanics are around the car for these sub 3 second pitstops, would like to see only 2 people per wheel, would lengthen stops and add more variability.

Same here, half the number of people doing pitstops.
Saves cost, more exciting pit stops.

looking at the scene where the guy gets run over, there's 12 guys in the shot just for the back half of the car...

edit - well one is just standing there with a fire extinguisher so that doesn't count, so 11. should be rear jack man and 2 guys on each corner so cut that to 5 in rear and 5 in front

One Force India mechanic replied to WB on twitter saying **** no. They (the mechanics) love it and wouldn't change a thing. Says F1 stops are a hell of a lot better than F2 and lower formulas.

I thought Pirelli was trying to eliminate one stop races this year? Make the hardest tire last 20 laps before it wears down to the cords. Of course they're too scared to do that after the 2013 British GP.

 

Winning team had a broken team member, Merc lost because their beta is a beta, soooo yea STR finishing a solid P4 and ruining my Bauley beer was reason enough for them to celebrate.
