Maybe if ALO had tried a move like that on Petrov, he'd be a 3x WDC right now

You're baiting me, but I won't let you win.

He was stuck behind Petrov, but also had to get around Rosberg and Kubica (or something like that).

They (Chris Dyer) covered the wrong Red Bull.

I wonder if last year's IndyCar with all that downforce would've made that turn. The UAK18s (universal aero kit for 2018) have been tail happy under braking and supposedly the highest downforce the car can make in road course trim is about the same as last year's cars in road course trim at their lowest downforce setting. Anyways, was hoping "Wicky Bobby" would've won.

the gap was there and he went for it. No crime there.

Going too late on the brakes and punting the leader out to make the corner? I fear I must object...

Though all four manufacturers have worked hard to prepare for the new allocations, Tost believes the power drop-off that comes as an engine reaches the end of its life means there could be benefits to taking a fresh unit and incurring a penalty.

He expects to discuss with Honda whether the punishment of dropping down the grid order would be negated by having more horsepower available.

"There will come the period where we have to find out if is it better to start with a new power unit from the back instead of using an engine that will have 3000-4000 kilometres on it, and you start losing power after one or two hundred kilometres," he told falcongsr.

"So we will see. But I can tell you now that we will have this discussion. I don't know when, but we will have it."
i wish engines were cheap, one per weekend, high revving, and blowey upey

never heard of her.

Teams will definitely more than 3 engines. Starting at the back isn't a huge deal if you got the pace advantage and flippy flappy wingz to ease passing the slower carz.

EDIT: Or the first time they get in trouble/wreck in P3, they'll just add another PU to the mix for future use. Unless its Monaco or something.

Renault already said they were gonna go 4. Merc prob don't need to and may not. I can see Ferrari doing it. It's a wise move if you are short on power. You can have your PU turned up to 11 moar.

Good on you for not taking the Alonso bait. And I admit, I love to roll out the inability to pass Petrov, but you are right. Passing Petrov wasn't the problem. Even if he had passed Petrov can you imagine what would have happened behind Kubica? Never would have gotten past old Bobert there...

Don't know how well you can see this, but this was my plane today. Notice please the duct tape on the leading edge of the wing lol.

Can't see it. Is it that little piece halfway between bottom of pic and shadow line?

It's better than 100mph tape.

Well whatever it was it was flapping in the 500mph breeze. The phrase "ambitious but rubbish" came to mind for some reason lol.

It would probably be aluminum 'speed' tape. That leading edge gets pretty hot when the anti-ice is on

“Everyone is offering fans more direct access, we are incredibly fortunate with the access that we have through our sport,” Norman said in an interview with digital media title The Drum. “We are going direct to the fan so we are then able to give them the best experience possible,” she told The Drum. There is nowhere else out there with24 livestreams coming into the app and that is pretty insane – I don’t think that has been done before.”

“It is a very strategic sport and for that hardcore fan, they really understand the excitement but the strategic elements, having the ability to personalise how you watch it and being able to select favourite drivers and view that side by side, these are all elements where we can better serve our fans.”
