this is a very good question. i would hope it is DVR style where you can start watching an event and pause/continue at any time after it has started and even after it is finished
They have mentioned available 'race replays'. hopefully that goes for practice and qualy too
Really interesting. Maybe they will get it right this year. It was cool trying to follow the Honda PU development on the F1 Technical forum...but now that ALO doesn't have one I really don't care.
If Honda can get it right finally...RBR-Honda may be dominating F1 in 2019 or 2020.
2021 the book gets re-written. I imagine McLaren and Red Bull will have their own engines then.
For RB or McLaren to have their own PUs in 2021 the FIA would really have to dumb down the engines and I don't think that will happen. Cosworth was saying even if the FIA got rid of the MGU-H they would need a partner to be able to develop a PU for 2021. They'll continue with the hybrid element of the PUs for sure.
I'd like to see them keep the MGU-K, dump the MGU-H in favor of a smaller generator on the turbo. Keep V6 and the fuel flow limit (but have limit at 15k) but have unlimited recovery. Go twin turbo and give them tons of MGU-K deployment. Dumping the motor portion of the MGU-H in theory should help simplify the PU mapping. This would still allow a lot of knowledge transfer from current PUs to the new ones and make it a little easier for other manufacturers to get up to speed. I'd be fine with standardizing a lot of the hybrid parts.
The 3 PU limit has got to go too. Make it a PU has to do 3 race weekends.
STR still look better than they've looked in any pre season testing to date. It would not surprise me to see them fighting for 4th in the constructors championship at this point.

No way.
Force India and Renault will wipe the floor with them. McLaren *should* but that's up in the air. Team ***** should also be comfortably ahead of STR.
