The Official Formula 1 2018 Season Thread
Will have to ogle, I mean google Sasha G.
So the top image result is a woman who looks like she could be related to Monisha from Sauber.

Reyes is bigger than mine.
Anyways I think Haas having their halo black at least makes the halo a bit less obvious.
I wonder if the black bottom of the Williams is to make certain parts of the car a bit more obscure.

launch spec never has any interesting bits on it. i bet even the halo design changes. god what an abomination. it would have saved henry surtees and justin wilson but not senna, massa, maria de villota or bianchi
So Haas has a lower T wing. Is it to far forward to mimic a beam wing? I wonder if they are using the lower T wing in conjunction with the rear suspension to try and be a poor man's beam wing? Sidepods on the Haas are very Ferrari 2017 like.
Wonder if that means the Ferarri will also have a lower T wing.
Looks like the ***** also have a lower T wing, theirs appears to be quite complex.

I think it's because Indy and FIA have a different protection philosophy (and the FIA is in a legal battle). Indy are worried about events more likely to happen (smaller debris) while the FIA are concerned with flying wheels. I wonder if both series will end up with a hybrid of the 2 in the coming years. A titanium upper frame, no thong, and a lexan shield. Not all that different from what RB were pushing...
I forgot who said it, but it made a lot of sense, F1 cars have the air intakes above the driver and the screen could greatly effect that. While the Indy cars have no such concern. But being that F1 is full of black magic wizardry when it comes to air flow and management, me thinks they could find a workable solution.

I wonder if we will see some interesting solutions to controlling airflow on top the tub, right where the airflow would tend to want to separate from the nose and then flow toward the back. Could we see bodywork at the top of the nose working in conjunction with something on the halo to try and bend the air over the halo?
It's not like the airbox inlet has to have beautiful, amazing flow going to it; there's a low pressure zone in the airbox and the craziness around it will head there anyways. airbox aint a control surface.
That's my 2 cents anyways.

Whoops, Just realized I posted that picture at the same time as Outrun.
I'd be curious to see what a wind screen looks like after a full race with rubber and bug debris everywhere. would probably need tear offs.
