The Official Formula 1 2018 Season Thread
I don't agree. I would think the OTT web subscription will take the Sky feed b4 ESPN crams in their commercials. I would hope Liberty is smart enough to know this. I could see them maybe having a base package costing a mere pittance that has commercials, but for any serious package they won't get any interest if they charge more than a couple bucks a month and still have commercials.
The engine reg changes are by far the most interesting to me. The banning of EGR, the limit on IAT, and the wording changes for some of the internal components suggest either tomfoolery was going on or was about too and the FIA wanted to protect the teams from themselves.
Oh and the change to 5.10.5 (concerning storing or recycling fuel) is particularly interesting.

Wonder if Mercedes will have to abide by the oil consumption rules
I also wonder if there was something to the FIA expanding upon the wording for the injectors. Does this mean some other type of injector is allowed? Water is ruled out by 5.14.2...

we're 35 days out from the first race weekend and there's been zero news of an OTT offering. i'm not optimistic. and if you think i'm going to pay for ESPN so i can watch ads you can insert a derogatory idiom here.

I want to give F1 my money to watch the races commercial free, and to increase their revenues so that **** Christian Silt (who runs Formula Money) can STFU. Now that his sugar daddy is out (bernie), he's all salty.
