We use instacart bro - who has time for shopping.

There's also an app where you plug in your diet and desired caloric intake and it will generate meal plans, recipes and grocery lists that you can then export to instacart. No more thinking - WHAT AM I GOING TO EAT??

Pretty fair to say. The aeroscreen was a better solution, and the went with the thong instead.

Bravo for Indy on making better looking cars (for srs previous gen was atrocious), and producing a cockpit protection system that doesn't look retarded.

Also the McLaren mini-series is good. Will watch again.

Why couldn't they jus do this! So much better looking than the thong. Did anyone ever link the FiA to this thread?

'Grand Prix Driver' ? The Conflicted Review

In my discussion with Manish Pandey, in an interview for Paddock Magazine (click here to head to the interview) I raised the question of the way in which McLaren and Honda were depicted within the series, highlighting my concern that Honda did not have the opportunity to offer their side of the story.

Understandably Manish did not hold my opinion. The narrative of a documentary is often defined by the events it covers from the perspective of the lead. This is not a Honda documentary. It is a McLaren documentary and the views within it are communicated as such. Again this is not a criticism of the documentary, more a reflection of the brief and the client.
Manish is the same guy who made Senna a saint and Prost a villain in the Senna movie...

Alonso is proving such a big draw to WEC that they decided to move the Fuji race so it doesn't conflict with the USGP so he can attend both.

Petit Le Mans was the same weekend. The endurance guys signed up for both Petite and Fuji are now SOL, unless Petite moves weekends. lulz

Also Honda doesn't come out looking very good in the doc, but is that surprising given their performance of the last 3 years? Do be fair, McLaren didn't look amazing at key points either. Is it biased? Sure. But I'll allow it.

I'm not defending Honda I'm just pointing out the fact that it is biased. Having a transmission that doesn't bolt up properly to the engine can't be labeled as PU failure, that's a communication failure and it's on both sides. I'm guessing they leave out the transmission debacle or the time where the McLaren employee forgot to tighten the oil line.

It will be interesting to see if McLaren end up hanging with RB or Renault this year, although I think Renault (team not PU) will be better than they were last year.

So here's a Le Mans question. If both Toyotas are in the running at the end will team orders come into play and who would be favored?

Even machining that pin looked like a debacle and way harder than it needed to be. Big language barrier in them parts.

In the SQ7, a diesel S.U.V. that Audi does not currently sell in the United States, an electric motor drives a vane-type supercharger. Similar in operation to a turbocharger, this device delivers its power boost at low engine speeds without the lag of an exhaust-driven turbo. And Mercedes-Benz is equipping the new in-line six-cylinder engine of the 2019 CLS 450 with its EQ integrated starter-generator system. In this design, the electricity is produced in the space between the engine and transmission. In motor mode, it adds 21 horse power and 184 pound-feet of torque for quick getaways, and it can take over for the gas engine at a steady-state cruise.

In a bid to attract more competitors for Toyota in the top division, the FIA and Automobile Club de l’Ouest have sought to level the playing field between hybrid and non-hybrid cars as part of a raft of changes for the 2018/19 FIA World Endurance Championship season.

As such, the Toyota TS050 Hybrid has been given only 35.2kg of fuel to use per stint (down from 44.1kg) in 2018, compared to the 52.9kg the less fuel-efficient privateer cars are able to burn.

The non-hybrids have also been allocated almost twice as much energy (210.9mj) to use in a single lap of the Circuit de la Sarthe as Toyota (124.9mj per lap).

“The laptime they target to do at Le Mans is very quick, and their top speed could be 360km/h (224mph) plus – whereas we’re only going to be doing 340km/h (211mph).

This is why, no matter how predictable some races might be, or how dreary it might get watching the same team win in Formula 1... It's still so much better. In almost all other forms of professional motorsports, the winner is dictated more by the rules than the ability / resources of the constructor. It's the worst in series that use production cars.

LMP1-H kind of shows what happens when you give F1 style rules to sportscars. Teams spend way too much and then drop out because it has gotten too expensive. They're now trying to mix privateer LMP1 cars with the Toyota hybrids because it's kind of a farce otherwise.

The sportscar ranks are solid with good car counts and strong manufacturer support. That would not be possible without BOP.

If they don't put some sort of handicap in Toyota would have such a huge advantage in LMP1 they may as well have Toyota in their own class (also note Toyota wanted them to equalize the competition so it wasn't a cake walk for them). WEC is trying to make the best of a very bad situation. Porsche dropping out blindsided them. I guess they could have just banned the hybrids from running...

I'm hoping this **** is just a temp solution until the all new regs come out for the next generation. 2020 I think.

If I were Toyota I'd build a 3rd car for LeMans and make it a non-hybrid lol

Is Toyota's hybrid technology that good that nobody can compete?

It seems like maybe the other manufacturers should take note.

No the problem is no other manufacturer can be bothered to **** away the money required to compete in LMP1-H at this point. It was really only Porsche and Audi with Toyota the last several years and then Audi left. Now with Porsche gone no one else cares to do it. The privateer teams don't have the funds to develop hybrid LMP1 cars. The best thing to do for the sake of competition would probably be to ban the LMP1H but that would **** off Toyota to no end. I'm guessing the ACO/FIA want to entice Toyota to stay beyond the end of the current regs.

It won't make a huge difference anyway. Toyota will still be faster once they sort out the specifics of the handicap. If Toyota doesn't shoot themselves in the foot they'll win LeMans
