Default ShopSuey's 93 EH2-Two years in the making

I finally feel satisfied with my 93 EH2! I’ve been through various setups in the last two years. Two all motor builds and two turbo builds. And lot of different suspension setups. I can’t believe I can say I’m satisfied!! Haha It feels good.

Ive learned so much throughout the last two years that I feel confident in building my own motors and tackling anything suspension wise. Learning how to do everything myself has giving me a great appreciation for the saying built not bought. And an overall great feeling of satisfaction.

This is why I feel in love with Honda’s back in the mid 90’s. There’s just something about them that brought me back, and I’m glad. Despite the some of the Honda scene stereotypes I’ve met some great people along the way, made some good friends, and have learned to look past the people who like to look down upon Honda owners.

Basic breakdown
89mm crank
eagle rods
cp 9.1 Pistons
P72 head ported polished
supertech valve train
S2 ultra mani S2 70mm TB
turbosmart bov
tail 44mm wastegate
BWR manifold
Precision 4831
custom 2.5 exhaust 2 ultra quiet resonators 1 18resonator Blox mini muffler
1000 cc ID
Blox 320 FP
gsr trans Carbon syncros Mfactory diff
CC stage 4 clutch light weight flywheel
PIC coilovers
russel brake lines
ITR calipers with Mini Cooper rotors and hawk hp plus pads
OZ ultraleggeras wrapped in 205/50/15 Notto Nt05
Quafie 2.8 Steering rack

This car is a reflection of what I like, a little bit of everything! Show, drag, cruise, road race, mostly setup for AutoX. I couldn’t happier with the dyno results 362whp 253TQ @18psi tuned on 92 oct.

If you have an questions or constructive criticism feel free, that’s why I posted.

Wow. Very nicely done, the car looks amazing. Much respect for the work, glad you're enjoying it.

I have similar intentions and power goals with my Si build.

I’ll be making some better vids as soon as we get some dry weather here in Washington State! The video sucks, the sounds is really nice in person.

Definitely have it all covered for insurance. And it stays locked up. The front lip is Dev Sport and carbon fiber type r style. With custom air vents that are directly on the turbo and radiator. The side skirts are CCC Racing out of New York I believe. I really like those and they’re relatively inexpensive at $110. I really enjoyed my N/A setup. I made 230 whp 155tq it was super fun. I’m building a Del Sol for my wife that will have a similar setup.

I bought these air vents off eBay. They were an awesome mod to cool everything down. It’s been about 40 degrees out on average lately and I haven’t got over 200 ECT. My IAT on the freeway is hangs around 60 degrees. Cooled me down a lot.

Cool use of the air vents. If you don't have an air dam/block off for the empty space caused by no full sized rad/AC condenser I'd recommend putting one in there, it will force quite a lot more air to the radiator. Could even integrate it with the inlet you already have, make a tunnel through for the turbo inlet.

Awesome build man, congrats on how it turned out. How does it do in Autocross? I'm curious to the responsiveness of the setup at around 3k, I'm sure the GSR trans and lack of weight helps you get around while not in boost.

Thank you I appreciate that. It’s very responsive. I’ve only been to one event and it preformed well. I dont have much of any seat time with this new setup, but I can say it spools quick and there’s really no lag at all. I was worried about how it would perform at low speeds, that’s why I chose the smaller precision 4831 and kept my 2.5 exhaust from my all motor setup. It makes peak boost (18psi) @6000RPM tapering down to 15-16 @9200RPM With no loss in HP. I’m looking forward to better weather here and the place I enjoy the most starts back up next month.

Thank you. Recaro LX’s. I’m really not sure what they were in originally. Euro Porsche or VW I think. I scored these for about $1k shipped to my door. Hmotors has them occasionally, they sell out quick.

My hood was pretty messed up lots of clear coat peeling and dents in the middle. I didn’t really want a carbon fiber hood and I knew I wouldn’t be able to match my red very good. So I decided to learn how to paint haha! Well my friend talked me into giving it a whirl. The black down the middle allowed me to do some body work and re-spray. I’m happy with the results even with some imperfections it turned out fairly good.
