So I just bought this 95 gsr sedan with a B20 block and vtec head. I just noticed the valve cover only has "VTEC" lettering on the top and no "DOHC" lettering. Also at the bottom, it only says Honda with no logo on it. Then there's the intake manifold to which I can't seem to find one like this online. I thought the gsr's had the snail shape intake manifold. Can anyone confirm?

 

You have a GS-R valve cover with an AEBS/Professional products intake manifold.

If you want to know what head you have, look at the the front #1 exhaust port runner. If it reads P72, you have a GS-R. If PR3, you have a B16 head

 

That’s a shaved type r valve cover , the “Dohc” has been shaved and the “H” has been shaved and then it was poorly painted

 

Any way to know for sure? I thought gsr valves covers were black.

 

Paint is cheap. Especially the kind that doesn't adhere well to a valve cover.

 

Never really got why people shaved off things like that.
