** The offical 96-00 civic 4dr thread ** PART 3
I'm kind of in the same boat!! Just wanna finish the Civic motor and get it all back in one piece so I can drive it, and be done...for a while.
Carpet came in yesterday. I took it out of the box and laid it on the garage floor to return back to shape. Started trimming today. God damn so much extra's on the sides. Finally in but I still gotta cut the holes for the vents, front seats and rear seats. **** this, going to bed.
LMBO, you sir need to focus, Mr.Chef nasty!
Update

Ignore dash. Waiting for the snow to melt in the junkyard to pull dash.

Same, I'll do my best to as well. I'll post some updates.
Looks cali, not bad.
Went to the local pull a part and found a good condiiton headliner. Round 2 and this time sturdy stand and dog is out of the garage when I do this.

Hard part is cutting the carpet. Man I had to install, make note of areas to cut, remove, cut, re-install. I tried laying the old carpet over the new but the holes didn't align after cutting. Oh well. Its in.
Well its a k20a3 so nothing special other than being K ready for something better. All you'll probably need is a k24a2 and the ecu with k-pro. Might have to make minor adjustments here and there but shouldn't be too hard.
Ahh didn't notice the A3 part there. Good catch. 5 speed too.
I was just thinking that, assuming it was done correctly, I don't think I could get a k swap in the car for 5k. Maybe prices have come way down, I hardly pay attention anymore. honestly.

Found someone to weld on the seat brackets on the fa5 seats tomorrow. Gotta prep the seats and brackets. heading to hardware store for some flap disc now.
**** man...hell yeah they are but man the comfort-ness is what I needed badly on 9hr road trips. Since this civic gets the best mpg out of both my vehicles (tacoma is my 2nd vehicle) I rather take the civic
They've been sitting in my living room and I've been using it while watching tv. haha. But it was time to clean up all my car parts so the install had to happen.
edit:
Yeah additional weight not gonna help in mpg but its something I needed. I'll gauge how much mpg difference there is some time this week or next.
Where I had to go to get it welded had some crazy hills and no lights on the roads. The dude's driveway was kinda steep downhill
I'm not sure why none of the neighbor's living there complained about it but its probably normal to them.
I'm actually tempted to put the same seats in my tacoma....
