Is it bolt on or?

 

yes it's a bolt in but with a little added precaution.. 6"x6" plates welded to the underside of the car for the A and B pillar bars and a welded in steel 2"x3" square bar behind rear seats for the C pillar bars to connect to since there is so much debate on the safety of these. If installed properly they do help in a roll over situation.

 

are those integra rear seats? how easy is it to get in a coupe?

 

So there is no point in bolting it without wleding plates?

Yep they're integra 2dr seats. Had to make brackets to mount them but not very hard.

And some people say the bolt in cages are fine with just sandwich plates but it seems like its a 50/50 debate and I had the stuff to make it more secure so I went with it.. I think the cage will end up pearl white to match the body color when painted or a satin black but not sure yet. The blue is just a little loud lol

Thanks! I'm waiting on a different spoiler since the trunk lip had way too much flex to it and I was scared it wouldnt let the paint stay on it but it should be here thursday. So its a good possibility that Ill be able to spray the engine bay, door jambs, and some of the trim. Cage is getting sent out today to get powercoated in black. Also welding in 1/4" thick 4"x12" plates to interior floor pan and inner rocker panels to just about eliminate the chance of cage poking thru the floor in the event of a rollover. Probably not necessary but with the car apart now is the best time.

 

cage is back in satin black and the spoiler showed up. Kind of have mixed thoughts about it so will be spraying a plain trunk also for sure. think it does flow well with the lip, ek skirts and rear spats though.. what yall think?

Will need a lil wet sanding and polishing but so far I'm happy with it.. and being able to say I am the sole builder/painter/owner of it I gotta admit, I'm a little proud of it lol
