So is BOT coming back to Mercedes next year? I haven't paid attention to the driver contract announcements.

Yeah I don't see VET allowing Ferrari to hire RIC so that he can get another 2014 style *** whooping.

Or...he stays with RBR. Wouldn't be the worst idea.

3 PU's per driver instead of 4

I think we'll still end up with a Shark fin but will be smaller. Wood rather no shark fin. Also, it looks like the way the regs are written a Williams style low T wing will still be doable. Could be like a pre beam wing.

stoled from thread on F1T

That is a visualization of the way the regulations as written look. In other words, bodywork can be placed anywhere within the blocks.

From part of 3.5.1

c) When viewed from the side, no bodywork forward of the rear wheel centre line may lie above a line parallel to the diagonal boundary defined in a) and intersecting the rear wheel centre line 650mm above the reference plane.

First thing the engineering interns do for the teams is "update the box files".

The Williams car is terrible. I don't know how they were so good in 2014 but then fell off a cliff.

Disparity between Merc PU & the rest in 2014 is the only thing that makes sense to me. I don't think that car was ever very good.

I remember the Williams front row at Austria. Was hoping they'd convert it into victory.

Gary Anderson said the bumps caused a diffuser stall for HAM.

Maybe Merc had tyre pressures a little too low? No one else had that issue so maybe something else was going on?
