Ah, yeah I forgot about the impact the turbo has on exhaust loudness. I still think the ultra quiet(s) would be the best thing to try.

*EDIT*

Just realized there was dew fog on the roof (paint is NOT faded LOL) and I'd popped the hatch glass to get the car cover out, so I just noticed those things when reviewing the pics.

:D

Okay, I got rid of all but one image just so CXAdam doesn't jump my ****...

What wheels are those? You are thinking about changing them out? If you are thinking seriously, please drop me a PM if you want to sell those.

949 Racing 6UL in Tungsten. 15x8 +36.

15x8 6UL

I have been thinking REALLY hard about swapping them out for my old Spoon SW388s seen on my old school silver CX build. I'd be giving up 1.5'' width though, and that's tough. Once I swap the suspension out for something way stiffer I'll probably sit juuust a touch lower and that should sit perfectly on these 949 wheels. The Spoons are +45 LOL, and tuck hard like not in a great way.

Like this? BTW some will say it's photoshopped - it's not. The first few pics were taken circa 1999 with a Sony Mavica shitty-*** diggy camera that took an actual 3.5'' floppy disks for memory cards. The picture was always grainy, and it's been copied/pasted and hosted so many times the "quality" has degraded a lot.

I'll snap new ones of me and the green hatch sooner than later.
Damn, I had the same camera. I used the $h!t out of that thing. I thought I was pretty cool being all digital on the floppies...

Maybe you can widen SW388 up a little? it would suck to ruin the wheel or a pair of 15x8 slipstreams.

Oh, wish me luck on the noise chase, lol. Vibrant ultra quiet, 18" resonator and street muffler.

Added a valve cover breather, and changed the fuel pressure gauge for one with a black face.

I just realized you have a full length AC condenser. It's impressive the half rad still gets enough airflow to cool adequately.

I bet this huge magnaflow would solve your noise issues (if it fits), while still being straight through 3".

https://www.magnaflow.com/products?partNumber=12641

6" inch round (not the usual 4" round")
30" long body (36" long overall)
3" in/out

I'm going to measure my current one to verify if it's the one you linked, or not. If mine is smaller (LOL) then I'll see if the dimensions of the one you linked will fit into the space currently occupied by my current Magnaflow resonator.

Thanks dude!

You have right at 14" to work with from the lca to the bumper for a muffler. The bubble butt just doesn't offer much room back there for a big muffler with a good amount of sound suppression. I didn't catch if you are using a resonator or not. I know Magnaflow offers a couple quality resonators that help knock off some decibels on the J-series motors. They get ungodly loud when you start altering the stock exhaust.

You can still use a OEM strut bar with GC or other aftermarket top hats. I'm doing it. A little massaging of the bar and it looks like it was designed that way.

I knew that, but forgot to ask what application that condenser is from?

Took the hatch to a local car meet/show at Summit Racing. It was literally the only import out there of any kind. Lots of badass GA hotrods and domestics out there. The Honda drew a crowd, and I must have heard "I don't normally like Imports, but..." hahaha! They give out like 10 trophies, and the Honda took one! LOL!

Nice! Congratulations...

Do you need custom mounts for the Integra condensor?

Yes. You move the factory feet into position, then tack or self tapped into place.

So I ran into my hatch's OEM paint code donor in the wild yesterday! Forgive the filthy hatch, and being in line at McDonald's. I hate McDonald's, but my kids were craving it.

Aren't the front side-grills and rear bumper underside supposed to be painted on 94-95 US spec hatchbacks? I ask cause you mention them being masked in your video. Not sure what year your hatch is though.

***edit: The answer is yes. 92-93 have black side grills and rear lower bumper. 94-95 are painted.

The only thing I've found that looks to be definitive is scouring through .pdf files from old Honda sales brochures, and this is from the 1994 "all models" catalog. It's the Civic hatchback, and it does appear to have outer foglight grills painted. While I do love me some "correct" OEM touches on my cars I also cannot stand those painted grills LOL.

As far as the rear bumper goes, it has never been painted all the way down from the factory. There is actually a distinct tape line that's actually present in the bumper texture itself if you order a brand new 1994-1995 bumper. If you follow the line that the side skirts take that unpainted rear lower bumper trim flows perfectly. The cover of the 1994 Civic sales brochure also looks to display the black trim/unpainted portion along the bottom of the rear bumper cover as seen here:

BTW during my quest to find pics of the rear bumper, and foglight grills I came across this badass color swatch pic in the Nederlands catalogue.

Page 14 of the 95 "Full Line" catalog CLEARLY shows a fully painted rear bumper. Even the photo in the 94 catalog you are referring to is painted below the angled undercut if you zoom in and look at the leading edge of the bumper. You can't follow the side skirt line back as the rear bumper undercut is not as low on the car as the top edge of the side skirts (go look at your car). In those photos mentioned, the black area below the bumper is obviously the muffler.

Opinion: Painted grills & bumper look better.

Anyways.....1995 VX promo photo from I believe the 95 Civic catalog. Painted undercut clearly visible.

1994 Civic Catalog image visible painted undercut if you zoom in:

1995 JDM Civic SiR2 promo photo (not sure if this one will show):

1995 Civic Si promo photo shows both front & rear painted.
