Nice header but with PLM & SKUNK 2 headers being reasonably cheap it's gonna be tough to get $400 for this header

 

Understandable but this is an era correct, hard to find part. Is one of those, you either get it or don't. Not saying that you don't, just explaining the price.

You can easily find good, cheaper alternatives but for someone who's into rare parts, is not like he/she can go on eBay and "Buy It Now".

For example, I recently purchased a Hurst shifter assembly for my '71 Super Beetle, for which I paid $225. The brand EMPI makes an exact replica, but I didn't want an replica, I wanted an original one to compliment the car.

As I posted on my EM1 rear lip ad, I'm now taking offers since I have no use for it. So if interested but not sold on the price, send me a PM with a reasonable offer.

 

I haven't seen a Skunk2 header, but, I've had a PLM Toda rep header and was not pleased with the quality at all. I think the comptech is the perfect size header for B16's, but, does not hinder performance with larger motors. I have this same header on my B16 and bought it from a member with a supercharged B18C and have been nothing but pleased with it!!!

100% this. I just sold a complete Comptech exhaust that really would have complemented this header for $350.
