Ok whats the best way to start this motor mods. 9:1 81.5mm compression pistons rods. People are going to hate me for this. No block guard non sleeved. Next motor ccs.Head work nothing crazy first build. Whats the best way to start without turbo set up stock computer usdm p72 or get a basemap on a spare p28 i have laying around.Once i see motor run, turbo kit will be installed and trailered to dyno with hondata s300 on p72 Should i try to seat rings? Please any real experience is greatly apprectiated. First motor ive assembled reason why i dont have kit yet.

A stock unmodified P72 with the factory base timing and stock injectors will work fine for seating your rings and driving N/A. Driven properly the rings will seat in as little as 20 minutes. I perform this procedure on a dyno and can see the crankcase vapors disappear as the rings seat. I like to change the oil shortly thereafter. Drive the car 300 miles or so to shake it down and attend to any fluid leaks, exhaust leaks, vacuum leaks or ignition problems before your turbo install/dyno. Change the oil again. There are many variations to this and I am only reporting what has worked very well for me. Good luck and enjoy our new build.
