Cp pistons 81.5 9.8:1cr. Lsvtec basic First timer!
i bought used block off acquaintance friend locally known to build motors so i took a $600 chance on his short block complete minus head / tranny parts. He doesn't remember if it was the 9:1 or 9:8.1 cr ratio. Can anyone identify it I tried pulling google image but they all use same picture.

Reason: Mods can u change title please! Changing this into build thread

Well the images in the site are just general images used just for the varying degrees of choices. They won't really show a photo of each individual piston.
You're going to more than likely be somewhere in the middle anyway depending upon the head that you're going to use, it's valves, milled block/head surfaces etc.
The only way to truly confirm use to either find some etched part numbers or take the block alert, take full measurements and compare with the catalog (which IMHO is not worth doing, really, due to what I said in the previous paragraph)
only other way is if someone else with the same pistons can confirm which I think is what OP was hoping for. If I had to guess I would say those are the 9:1 model
But I do agree with shodan here once model is verified you need to take the specs punch it into a compression calc along with your other motor specs to get anything accurate
Thanks guys. Yea I no punch the zeal calculator I just wanted to know if pistons themselves were 9:1 spec or 9:8.1 spec. I know it'll change with what first post said. Milling head block hg valves
for some reason I see a lot of cp pistons don't have part numbers but numbers like 82-2 or 79-2
not exaclty, its dependent on crank used (LS vs GSR), head (b16 vs gsr), amount of milling done to head/ block, HG thickness. depending on the combination of all those factors will change things quite a bit
the "bowled" pistons have less static compression height than flat pistons. So comparing with the 9:1 (more "bowled" than yours) i would suggest yours are 9,8:1.

Yea I agree with you after looking at it a bit more just received the pic of my 9.8's they look to be same as the op
Is it me or you re in the best position possible to do a twin charged setup?
I dont think itll be very effecient and a waste of a SC
im gonna use the SC on a basic B20vtec SC at a later time

You have some quality parts in your setup, should be fun.
I don't think those are ID injectors tho, sir.
ID makes 725's afaik....That's what I have...and if you google some images you will see some discrepancies.
They have a colored band/clip component, and the nozzle/pintle area will be machined away considerably as part of the modification process.
Also they will have either a hand-etched serial number or later units have laser-etched logos.
You can ask them to check the unique serial to verify if they are genuine, they have every injector they ever sold documented.
Those look like un-modified Bosch injectors.
Which might even be better than 725's. If they're some of the 2200 cng types you can make a lot of power.
Maybe even 1000's.
I think you need to know what the rating is so it can be tuned.
I suppose it will become evident quickly to a competent tuner, but being able to load proper dead times etc. at first will be best.

Where did you get the adapters to go from an OBD1 harness to the ID injectors?
came with the injectors I bought
swap is installed!
I ran into a problem with ruel rail
i ordered oem em1 m6-1.00-28mm
too short
gotten m6-1.00-40mm. Bolts. Just a hair too much. Gotta go back to McLendon and buy some washers to space it out
the edelbrock performer x is a very tight fit with firewall holy
