The Official Formula 1 2017 Season Thread
Is RB gonna win those 2 races with a Honda PU in 2019? I want Honda to do well in F1 but even I wouldn't take that leap of faith.
i know everyone's claiming newton's law dictates that honda never will be good in f1 but it's just not the case now that the optimal engine architecture for the formula has been determined and everyone is copying it.
what do you think the engine disparity was at the end of v8 era? 15bhp? that's like 2%. we will get there again. either by force or naturally.

(not honda)

Maybe Honda will get it figured out but I have limited faith in that ability at this point. Maybe if they had made moar gains this season I would feel better but I'm starting to wonder if the diminishing returns claim isn't as valid as I thought it was.
HAM as derating at the end of the straight in malaysia not three weeks ago. we've now had four complete years with these engines and once the science is worked out it's just copypasta. before honda joined i remember watching renault fail horribly with everything you're talking about. they brought in consultants and got things sorted out eventually. shirley honda can keep failing but i think they're getting a helping hand from behind the scenes if ya know what i mean

sounds like VET had a rough 2nd practice and didn't get a real clean lap in on the charmin ultra softs so they're closer to merc than it seems
Gasly must be pissed. I am too. I was hoping he'd win the title.

Typhoon expected to hit Suzuka this Sunday. I'm sure they could've rescheduled but they probably didn't want a furriner to win the title.
When is qualy on today?
rumor is Bob Kubica has secured the Williams drive. (aka Wallace in batracer)
Hartley out in Q with flow vis on the car. Sweet, but will they get in trouble because his livery is different from his teammates?
**** I thought Q was up. Just FP3 damn it
