Is there an actual difference between this paint, honestly??
Alright guys, so I have a 99 EK hatchback..... the paint, like most of its age, is starting to go.
The paint is a Dark Amethyst Pearl (DAP). Paint code is PB-74p (or pb-74p-4) -this color, not my car though-
of COURSE Honda discontinued the paint...... so I'm wondering if this is basically the same exact paint as the Honda Fit Sport, in Blackberry Pearl, where the paint code is pb83p
So again, mine is pb74-p and the Fit is pb83-p
Ill let you guys be the judge, because I'm half tempted to respray my EK the blackberry pearl color, if its the same damn thing, which I can still get from Honda.

The toners to mix the paint will be slightly different is my guess, as far as repainting your car from the Dark Amethyst Pearl to Blackberry Pearl you shouldn't notice a big difference in the jambs of the car.
If you go to a body shop supply store that has the capability to mix paint they can mix Dark Amethyst Pearl for you.
