What engine is in it, you can only tell it's a single cam from that half pic. Is the engine bay completely thrashed too, there's no detailed pics.
Hopefully this thread will help some poor kid in the future.
Thanks for the luck .. Yea next time I will be checking the car thoroughly lol in the day or overly bright area lol. But hey live an learn so my mistake but it's an awesome process just long and drawn out. Wallet was a lot thicker when I was at my previous job so luckily I purchased 90% of everything I needed.
Aside from that I do agree hopefully this will help some one if not its an Interesting read.!

Have you tried asking for any money back and threat of suit against the seller? At least something to compensate for the huge amount of time your going to have to utilize.
GL on the build, you made the H-T news letter.

Honestly man they needed the money more than I did at that time so w/e I got got but didn't really hurt my pockets just ego. Aside from that when it's done I will be visiting his house to do a smoking one in his driveway . I think that should suffice lol

Soooooooooooo H-T I am trying to currently get this story going again lol but its hard managing time with selling Honda's and the crappy hours plus working on the hatch. I left off with us starting to primer the car and then making sure the body work was looking good. I am not the master mind behind all this but obviously helping and learning some new skills. We are still trying to fix a lot of the messed up hack job the previous owners did to this thing. Here is are some more updated pics
Re: 96 EJ Build 1st civic project/headache/learning lesson
Anddd here she is....
I am painting the duckbill, side skirts, door trim white as well so everything will match. I thought about keeping the black accents like the side skirts..etc but after browseing H-T and google definitely decided to keep it clean and all the same color
Excited to put all the new trim I spent a small fortune on
Hopefully these tail lights and headlights look good or I will just go back to stock or hit up password for a few things. Would rather put that money in to a few other things so hopefully they will last me through the winter or when ever it finally gets on the road
Re: 96 EJ Build 1st civic project/headache/learning lesson
Doors go on this weekend but of course Honda doesn't just sell the hinge pins you have to buy the whole kit. The current ones are obviously old and warn out so some how they have to be replaced. Honda makes you but the hinge the pins and a few more things and the total cost with my employee discount is like $435 I think a side cant remember but i needless to say was shocked hahaha. This seems to be a common problem for honda and there is no easy fix people just have to deal with a saggy door. I will note the fix after we come up with something, my buddy thinks we can retro the pins from a mustang so we will soon see.
Other than that expense I forgot to buy new weather strip for my doors which is $91 a side so gotta check parts and see what I get off. Always using Ezhondaparts.com so easy and they communicate with you great! FYI
Re: 96 EJ Build 1st civic project/headache/learning lesson
Ill have a few better pictures this weekend and hopefully with the doors. Still need to paint bumpers, Hood, skirts, trim, spoiler, mirrors, grill, door handles and front and rear lip. Slowly but surely coming together. Sorry for the scattered pics and extended time in between posts just been super busy. Be back soon.. "famous quote" lol

So while i have been purchasing a ton of parts i have also been doing necessary maintenance. Did the spark plugs, wire, check distributed cap everything looked fine. Also did oil change and soon to do tranny flush. Once the radiator comes in i will obviously change the coolant.
