yeah i'd say DSL pushes well beyond the limits of what you can reliably do with an unshielded twisted pair of wire. it's been around since 1885 and had a good run.
coax has 10x the bandwidth and most of what has been installed is relatively new so there's less chance of problems with it.

I'd venture to say if Honda had the current spec PU at the start of this season that McLaren would still use be using Honda next year. I mean it sounded like McLaren were gonna go no matter what (and I think that had to do with Ron being the one to bring Honda back) but I think the current spec PU would have forced McLaren's hand.
Also rumor in Japan is Waffle to get next spec PU in USA with Alonso slated for Messico Worth noting this is the spec that Hasegawa would close the gap to Renault in early August. We shall see

I agree Honda boned up but I think part of the blame lies with McLaren. They forced Honda to join a season earlier than Honda wanted and go down a development dead end. Honda should have had the stones to say size zero is not a good idea.
I would venture it's more of a culture issue. The higher ups said do it and the engineers said yes. I don't think they would have said we can't or it's a bad idea. Just a guess tho
There's a lot that happened, blame here, blame there, but Honda is the one that suffered the most. Their performance and reputation is ****. Only McLaren's performance is in the ******* at the moment. Most believe they would be around the Red Bull's with a competitive engine package.
Also the new Civic's look terrible. CTR no care, which makes me sad.
