Default d16z6 torque specs... and pattern

torque specs d16z6 specs and pattern

I am lost... don't know how to torque my head... what is the sequence and what are the torque steps...

Apply CLEAN oil on the bolt threads and washer contact surface.


First Step - 30 Nm (22 lb-ft)
Second Step - 73 Nm (53 lb-ft)

Seems like for the Y7 and Y8 engines they broke the torque sequence into three steps and added a fourth to double check 1 and 2. So, if you want to lower the first step to 14 lb-ft and add a middle step to 36 ft-lb, that should work, too.

The info I provided in the first response was from the service manual but, maybe there's a service bulletin that recommends doing the 5th gen engines in three steps?
