I've done some searching and I can only find info for pairing with KYB AGX.
My CRX came to me with KYB GR-2 shocks and tein springs. I would like to get adjustable height coilover springs because the drivers side of the car sits a lot lower than the passenger side.
Is there a good coilover spring pairing with the GR-2 shocks that anyone could recommend?
Shocks I would assume are about 5 years old, the same age as the build.
And my springs are purple..... I was just told they are Teins
It does not sit very low, maybe 1.5" to 2.0" lower than stock I would say. Although I would like to lower it more once I get different wheels and tires that will tuck in nice. Maybe 2.5" to 3.0". So I am hearing that the GR-2's are no good anyway and I should get some full coilovers or pair with some AGX shocks instead?
Maybe I am incorrect about how much of a drop it has now. Just seems like stock they have such a huge wheel gap. Maybe it is only 1.0 to 1.5" drop currently. I probably won't go more than 1/2" lower than were it is though, depending on how it looks. So will the GR-2's be alright or no?
If your driver side is sitting a lot lower than the passenger side, it may be that your shocks are bad.
Shock wear doesn't affect height.
OP....no. Without using like a 600-800LB spring, your car cannot properly be lowered any further. There aren't any off the shelf shocks that will support those spring rates.
You really should be using incredibly stiff rates and/or RCA's or extended hats at your current height. Or full body adjustable coilovers.

You can certainly buy coilover sleeves and they can certainly be set lower. The shock will just pound the bumpstop into dust and you'll need a spine doctor when you're older.

If you want to ride as low as your car is currently, or lower...you need a coilover whose entire case length is adjustable. That's the most simple way. There are other, more involved ways.
The car already rides like ****. More than likely, shocks are on their way out since they aren't meant to be lowered, and previous owner bought some cheapo lowering springs that are way too stiff.
So, I will get a set of fully adjustable coilovers like I have done on my past cars. What's another $1500 in the crx money pit?
